Come by Sonic Milk from 7 to 10pm on Saturday, September 26th to enjoy an incredibly special show from the Michael Potter Trio. They will be debuting their new album “Turned to Light” in the very same place it was recorded.

The San Francisco based trio consists of Michael Potter on piano/synthesizer, Alan Jones on Bass and Mike Mitchell on drums.

Michael Potter is a San Francisco-based jazz pianist, composer, and alumnus of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), known for his modern jazz compositions that reflect a quiet intensity, intricate rhythms, and a sense of introspective movement.

Alan Jones is a rising young talent from Denver, Colorado known for his stellar upright bass work and compositions. He has shared the stage with greats such as Matt Wilson, David Sanchez, Ed Simon, Christopher Clarke, Carmen Bradford, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Kristen Strom, and Keith Oxman.

Mike Mitchell is an Brooklyn native and Oakland-based jazz drummer, Manhattan School of Music graduate, and educator at the Stanford Jazz Workshop who anchors the rhythm section for the Michael Potter Trio. He is a prominent fixture in the bay area jazz scene, known for his deep musical immersion and versatility across straight-ahead jazz and modern fusion styles.
